My Background
I’ve spent the last 25 years working in technology as either a software developer or a product manager. I started my career as a developer at Netscape during the first internet boom. From there, I worked in the B2B space and Healthcare, but the majority of my career was spent working in eCommerce at companies like Walmart, Tesco, Levi’s, and Nike.
I love coaching and mentoring, and those were activities I found the most energizing while I was in a corporate environment (outside of shipping software, which is the absolute best!). Like a lot of leaders, I wanted to give more time back to my team to help them grow and flourish, but it was hard to always find the time.
My intent now is to “make up for lost time” by leveraging what I’ve learned in my career through both successes and failures to help others become the best leaders they can be. As mentioned on the home page, I’m interested in early stage leaders, who I feel would best be served by working with a coach.
Coaching will actually be the third phase of my overall career arc. My first phase was classical music, and I was a professional violist who graduated from Juilliard. In addition to the focus on growing in the corporate world, I’d also be happy to speak with anyone who feels like they need to make a big career change that’s way out of their comfort zone. I have lots to share on that!
